Project Scheduler (Cincinnati)

Pay Information:

$80,000- $120,000 / Year

Position Summary: This position is responsible for helping manage construction schedules and the associated financial planning and reporting. This position will be based out of Cincinnati and will report directly to the Project Controls Division Manager.  Travel may be required at an estimated frequency of around 20 percent.

Essential Functions: 

  • Develops and maintains WBS, project schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Tracks and trends cash flow reports.
  • Manages change control documentation (scope, cost, or schedule), and/or any reports associated with project controls.
  • Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with customers, supporting the resolution of issues, and completing assignments (proposals, project tasks, reports, etc.).
  • Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly project controls reports.
  • Manage resource (Heavy Equipment) allocation and planning per the Primavera schedule to forecast capital expenditure.
  • Responsible for gathering, verifying, validating, and analyzing data in support of project controls reporting.
  • Responsible for distributing and archiving project controls reports as appropriate.
  • Maintaining project baselines in conjunction with change management.
  • Reviewing and auditing progress entry in accounting against resource actuals in Primavera.
  • Tracks and reports project status performs variance, earned value, and critical path analyses.
  • Work with the Estimating team and Accounting team to manage Bid conformance and budget management.
  • Resource Leveling and Resource Management.

Job Qualifications: 

Education:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, etc.)

Knowledge:

  • Experience in Civil or Environmental Construction Projects.
  • Proficiency in use of Oracle's Primavera P6 scheduling tool required. 
  • Experience using software such as Business Objects, MS Office Suite.

Other Desired Qualifications:

  • Preferred Minimum Experience: 4 Years
  • Highly engaged self-starter identifying problems and offering possible solutions and taking appropriate action for resolution
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

Other Information:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Some physical activity outdoors required for this position
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times
  • Must be able to safely traverse on uneven and rocky soil. 
  • Estimated 20 percent travel required.
