Pay Information:  

$50,000 - $70,000 / year

Job Summary

The human resource staffing specialist role will primarily support staffing and other HR initiatives for multiple remote work site locations. Duties are performed at the professional level in the functional areas of recruiting, selection, onboarding, records management, reporting, compliance, employee relations and other areas of HR as the opportunity arises. This position requires someone who is personable, motivated, extremely organized, strong attention to detail, and possess good follow-through skills. This role works with individuals at all levels within the organization and will demonstrate support of company strategy, culture, employees and other business priorities.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitates the pre-hiring, hiring, orientation, and onboarding processes for compliance.
  • Assists with recruitment tasks such as job postings, reviewing applications, or screening.
  • Maintains employee and applicant documentation compliant with internal and external requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with I-9 Verification, periodically conducting audits and training managers.
  • Manages and monitors compliance to the Drug-Free Workplace standards established by the company and in compliance to the customer guidelines.
  • Updates and maintains the HR system with employee information
  • Creates and distributes employee reports as required.
  • Acts as an employee relations ambassador and escalates matters as necessary.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of employee personnel records and files.
  • Enters and maintains confidential information in the HR system.
  • Overnight travel to work sites as necessary to train or lead hiring initiatives.
  • Cross-trains with and supports other functions in the HR Department as the need arises or to cover during absences.

Job Requirements and Qualifications


  • A minimum of a HS Diploma is required.
  • A 2 or 4 year degree in a related field is preferred. 

Technology Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • HRIS experience (Experience with Vista, Keystyle, or Arcoro is a plus).
  • Proven ability to be a flexible and dependable team player.
  • Effective in both verbal and written communication.
  • Payroll or benefit experience is a plus.


  • A minimum of 2 years of HR experience. 
  • Candidates with a PHR or CP certification are highly desirable. 

Other Information

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
