The Trans Ash Partners in Progress Program is a collaborative effort to promote and improve diversity and inclusion with our employees, sub-contractors, suppliers and clients. The program encourages the company to build a stronger partnership with an increasingly more diverse workforce. It promotes the overall success of Trans Ash and guides us in the right direction for future growth within our industry.
Partners in Progress is a program structured to encourage and increase the participation, in Trans Ash managed projects, by diverse suppliers and subcontractors. The program is comprised of the following components:
Trans Ash utilizes multiple sources to actively seek out diverse businesses. Those sources include, but are not limited to, the Trans Ash Diversity Director, our customer’s diversity representatives, The National Minority Supplier Development Council (NSMDC), Women’s Business Enterprise Council, (WBENC), Small Business Administration (SBA), the SBA HUBZone mapping system and internet businesses searches. Additionally, the Trans Ash Diversity Director, and other Trans Ash representatives, will participate in diversity networking events and conferences at the local and national levels.
Trans Ash educates our team members to recognize the importance and benefits of a diverse supplier/subcontractor base. Diversity goals are clearly shared with all levels of management bi-monthly, reviewed quarterly and reported to our customers.
Each supplier/subcontractor is required to register through the Trans Ash supplier portal on our website: www.transash.com/suppliers. Upon completion of the registration process, the company will be entered in a searchable database accessible by all Trans Ash employees. The database will categorize businesses by type, location, services offered and diverse classification.
